MCSC was officially opened in April 2018. This was inspired by experiences of beautiful strong women who had survived breast cancer. There was need to share their journey through diagnosis of breast cancer, treatment and recovery.

Being in a society where there are many myths and challenges around breast cancer, women and their families go through different experiences and through sharing this with other survivors, offered social support knowing they were not alone and they too can survive this. Martha Cancer Support Centre offered a safe haven/space/home for these women and their friends and families. Through regular meetings and home visits, MCSC offers an avenue for conversation, courage and encouragement for all members.
